One day, I was looking on the internet because I'd missed the "Pet of the Week" segment on the local news. We'd been looking for a Beagle and what came up on the page was very exciting! The shelter she was in was only 30 minutes away and to our surprise was the pet of the week. She has one weird habit they didn't know about at the shelter, though. She sucks on her bed!!!
She is the best dog I've had even though she 's mixed with a Corgi, another breed we wanted. She is a very loving, protective dog and now we can't imagine life without her.
I just wanted to let you know that my beloved Dixie passed away in April. I was hoping we could grow old together, but it was not meant to be. I miss her so much everyday, and I think of her at the smallest reminders of her. I have been checking your list of pets available, but it still hurts my heart to think of another taking her place. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to have her brighten my life for the short time I had her! I hope I brightened her last time too.
I adopted Paxton when he was just 12 weeks old and decided to rename his Max. Ever since the day I took him home he has become a large part of my family. We go on walks every morning and evening and play during the days. Max has been such a lovable puppy and does so well with all types of people, his favorite being little kids where he can get all the attention he deserves. Thank you so much for such a sweet new member of my family!
I adopted Ellie May aka Connie in February 2010, she was in a litter of 10 puppies that came in. She has been such a joy to have. She is very smart and learns very quickly. She loves to play with Jake my father's Jake Russel who is 13 years old and almost blind. My life is fuller with her as my best friend. Thank you so much for bringing her into my life.
We adopted a brittany mix that was about 5 months old when we got him. We gave him to our son for his birthday. Well, they have been best friends ever since. "Trooper" just can't wait to be with our son, he follows him around wherever he goes, and they spend lots of time bug hunting together. He has been a great addition to our family and our son LOVES him so much! The dogs at the humane society need loving homes and we are always glad to adopt! "Trooper" is currently starting his training to become a pet therapy dog because he is so sweet, calm, and loving.
We went to find a new kitten and ended up adopting an older cat named Shadow. He was a very sweet older fella. He stayed with us for a little over a year.He passed away due to kidny cancer. But we were so happy he spent his last year with us. I am so glad we adopted an older pet. People need to remember older animals need good loving homes just as much as younger ones. And it was so nice that he came pre-trained!!!!
